UTEP would allow MWC to have representation in TX again

Plus, UTEP has a rivalry with NM and NM State. It is possible that the MWC has wanted to add UTEP for some period of time, but it never found the "right" dance partner to balance out the addition. Remember the MWC can't have an odd number of members and still play a conference championship game in football without violating the NCAA bylaws and/or conference bylaws.
