I disagree. A decent coach can get 7-8 wins out of this team next year. All


Depends on the type of hire. The transfer portal can definitely expedite a rebuilding process. Look at Michigan state this year. Assuming most players from this year’s team return minus Barno, Blackshear, Holston, Waller, Mitchell, BB, and probably Hoffman and Leticus Smith. Might also lose Dax and someone unknown. All the coach needs to do is mine the Portal for 1 or 2 power 5 QBs that lost a starting job; get a running back; 2 power 5 caliber WRs, and maybe a corner back or 2. Key to all this is firing Fuente before the season is over so we can get a head start on hiring someone. Waiting until season’s end definitely means losing season next year with a new coach
