A lot of the C-USA schools left the Sun Belt because they wanted to be associated with the schools in the C-USA and not the Sun Belt. These are decisions made by the school's Presidents, not athletic directors, and the Presidents want to be with like minded schools. This is why Louisville was a head scratcher, they were so far off the scale from the worst academic ranked ACC school, and they really haven't been the "football" school that they were supposed to be.
