Reviewing the FEI rankings for Chad Morris as an OC

Even putting in a 1 year (COVID year…huge asterisk) stint at Auburn where he couldn’t install his offense…

It looks like his time as an OC averaged around 20th ranked offenses (I didn’t do the math…sorry), with one of his Clemson teams finishing as high as 8th. Now I get that “better ingredients make better pizzas” but I don’t see anything in his coaching history that would suggest he’d finish ranked in the 100+/the bottom of the ACC range (as we currently sit). He certainly has the credibility to instill confidence in offensive coordinating (yes, I saw what he did at Arkansas as HC…I’m not saying we hire him as a HC).

I think he’s gettable (now) and affordable. Bud Foster called him a “booger to prepare for.”

I’m at the point where I can make the argument for JF to stay or JF to go, but after listening to CC “pound his fist” on yesterday’s pod cast - I agree something needs to change, quickly. Brad Cornelsen does not need to be the hill our program, or coach, dies on.
