Virginia Tech is fifth in receiving votes in the Preseason AP Top 25

Virginia Tech is fifth in receiving votes with 25 points in the preseason top 25. Duke (9), UNC (19), FSU (20) and UVa (25) are the four ACC schools in the poll.

Memphis (12), Maryland (21) and St. Bonaventure (23) are the Hokies’ three non-conference opponents in the poll. Xavier, Notre Dame and Louisville, three other Hokies opponents, also among those receiving votes.
