At $150 or less, you might get more bang for your buck with some good


headphones. In my opinion, there's a bit of a plateau for desktop speakers once you get past the absolute crap until you get into the very expensive setups and/or have a particularly good discrete sound card. The plateau is sort of an effect of the size of the speakers, listening distance, and the relatively good/not great (relatively speaking of course) sound output of the vast majority of computers.

That said those would be on that plateau and fine.
