Curious, what's the current appeal to Sirius / XM radio? I had it 15+ years

before we all had smartphones that could stream music but I've had google play (now youtube music) for probably a decade now. I can listen to any song, album, podcast, or 'radio' station based on a genre, artist or song in my house (google home), car (android auto) or from my phone for $10/mo with no commercials which also gets rid of all youtube ads and there's no haggling or contract. Plenty of people use spotify or apple music to do the same. They also have free versions if you're ok with commercials or limited skips. I'm not knocking Sirius / XM but I cut it because they were basically just re-broadcasting (free) radio stations from around the country and still making me listen to ads which I felt was BS given other options I liked better. Have they changed their model or still accurate?
