Its a little of both...


Youre right that its funky, but also not much to worry about.

He is more susceptible than say Hunter Cattoor or Storm Murphy to go through a slump, but that doesnt mean he will or that those 2 wont.

The more variables you put into your shot the more things need to happen in order for you to release it on target. Moving the ball across your body or dipping it down before you start your shot or having and elbow out....all of those things mean in order to have a consistent shot you need to replicate all of those movements precisely. Add more movements, decrease the likelihood of repitition...

Jalen Cone was very susceptible to shooting slumps due to how high he jumped when he shot. Go out to your local court, stand on a surface that randomly puts you at slightly differebt heights every time you shoot it and see how consistent you are....its tough.

Its also a testament to the footwork, hand placement, strength and muscle memory that he has that he has made himself into this good of a shooter as is.

Anyway...DNG's form is fine. Naheim has learned how to replicate his shot though unconventional
