We have twin girls, age 17. About 3 weeks ago, one of our daughters tells us she feels bad and can’t taste or smell. She gets a PCR and yep, Covid. She has a nagging cough for a few days but pretty much like a cold for her. And then our other daughter says she lost her sense of taste and smell a week prior to her sister. She otherwise felt fine. This daughter didn’t bother telling us until her sister got tested. We got her antibody results and she has them. Neither of our daughters were vaccinated, nor will they be vaccinated now that they they have natural immunity.

I’m vaccinated and my wife isn’t. She doesn’t have the antibodies. I didn’t bother getting tested because I felt fine throughout and got my second Moderna jab in July, so my antibody levels should still be high. I’d like my wife to get vaccinated and hope she will. But force breeds resistance. The surest way to get someone to dig in is to tell them they must do something. Gentle persuasion is far more effective.
