Our overall offense stats and red zone stats are at the bottom of FCS. We lost two games because of red zone incompetence, defensive breakdowns leading to big plays, and poor coaching decisions.
And this is not something new. As David pointed out in his game summary, we lose close games much more often than not the last 4 years. We have a losing record against power 5 teams in Lane since 2014. Over the past 10 years we are pretty much a .500 team against power 5 competition; the very definition of mediocre. No amount of blind loyalty to this staff can change that.
