so yeah, I wondering exactly what's going on here and how they make a dollar doing this. O btw, barstool's worth about $400M, again, not sure why or how this works.
Maybe this gives it legitimacy without having to pay a nickel, "Hey, we're at the VT - ND game" etc. and, of course, a bunch of students show up to make it a happening, so yeah, gret PR I guess. Does it provide a portal to gaming? eg, talk about who's going to win and odds and that kind of stuff and then, hey, if you want to place a bet, do it here! type stuff.
I could see the school or any school not giving credentials to gambling sites and likewise, they may not really be interested in having that kind of access: just appear to be some sort of Gameday - and may, in fact, offer "some" legitimate game analysis - to people that aren't really paying attention to their business plan.
