Maybe there’s a better term for preventing the optimal scenario

Bottom line is while he’s a great player, Radford was definitely an impediment to what MY would want to play like based on his Wofford teams. If we’re picking nits then no, he’s not technically a freelancer, but trying to fit his game within the system was about as square peg, round hole as it gets. Personally I think this team has 2nd weekend potential, and once you’re there all bets are off when it comes to going all the way.

As far as defending former players goes, I have no love lost for Radford. He was great to watch, made a huge mistake and got a big dose of good fortune with the faith of MY. Whether he messed up his 2nd chance or just left of his own accord, his reputation amongst VT fans has been justifiably tainted.

Ok. But offense is only half of the game (if that). -- marcbvtgm 10/08/2021 2:42PM
You do Radford, and Mike Young, a serious disservice -- King of Hokies 10/09/2021 01:33AM

Nice try. The term "freelance" means a guy who does -- King of Hokies 10/09/2021 10:28AM
