He asks tough, often annoying questions and won't let things drop.

I can imagine how Buzz and Berman would not get along. Buzz would pontificate for 10 minutes in response to a one sentence question, with only 30 seconds of that response being of substance (the rest was a winding maze of fluff and BS). Compare that to Young who certainly uses coach-speak and will adopt some of the Frank Beamer "aww shucks" persona, but is much more of a straight shooter.

I think Young, like Buzz before him, knows Berman's personality and his dogged approach. Rather than trying to put him down ala Buzz, it sounds like CMY attempts to playfully engage Berman either a) to disarm him a bit or b) to mentally prepare himself for the type of questioning he was about to receive...
