Congratulations to Virginia Tech Pitching Coach Doug Gillis, who was inducted into USA Softball of Michigan Hall of Fame Saturday night.

Gillis, who has been the Hokies pitching coach since 2018, is a six time USA Team member in three different decades. He is currently ranked 16th all-time in International Softball Congress victories, which is considered the highest level of softball in the world.

Gillis is a two-time USA Softball men’s major division champion and won a gold medal on the USA National Team in the 2002 Pan-American Championships, a Gold Medal at the 1998 U.S. Olympic Festival, and was the MVP pitcher at the 1995 International Championship.
