I think the BIG question is VT willing to invest??

I wonder in closed door, if VT has discussed the long term future of collegiate athletics at the university.

WIth upcoming challenges as paying players, increases need in investments and personal salaries, its such a lofty financial requirement, does VT have the $$$ to do that while VT is so invested in research, university development and new facilities, and billion dollar Innovation campus and expansion.

I think the 400 million dollar campaign is a sign to the base. VT need the alumni, and friends ot invest more into the program. The university is not going to use its development endowment resources on athletics if there is not a substantial raise in contributions.

The ACC is very comfortable for VT, and it blinds the institution to reality of the world. Be interesting in the next 5 years what happens.
