We've thrown 78 passes compared to 119 rushes, that's a 40:60 balance
And it's not a function of being in the lead, that held true against WVU as well, a game we basically started in a 14-0 hole. By the way, we averaged 2.5 ypc on 41 freakin' runs against the Eers, and are averaging 3.7 ypc on the season which is downright horrific. The fact that the coaches keep dialing up the same running plays and are fine with that result is gross negligence on their part. For comparison, we averaged 5.6 ypc last year, so we've taken a HUGE step back.
I'm amazed his average pass is past the 1st down line, given more than 50% of our throws are behind the LOS. The missed deep shot are probably skewing the numbers a lot given we barely throw the ball.
BB has been incredibly gunshy in the pocket, and he holds the ball forever becaus he won't throw unless he actively sees a guy come open. There's no anticipation in his game which is brutal because Corny's out-route offense relies entirely on anticipatory throws.
