I rarely get any direct calls from VT.

Usually it’s emails, or paper solicitations.

So, you must be on a certain “hit list” to get direct calls……

But, I really like your approach as it puts them on notice that there has to be some accountability beyond the “just give me the money” appeal. And yeah, I very highly doubt you will ever get a call from the dean or associate vp of the department, etc. that will tell you, with a straight face or voice, what the money will be used for. They might as well tell you it’s going to be used for exterminating departmental cockroaches…….
