The way it was explained to me (and you probably already know this),

Parking Services has to be self funded. They are responsible for the parking garages, parking lots, meter maids, etc. It used to be that parking restrictions only applied till 5:00 pm, but that changed a year ago, during the pandemic. These new rules were implemented then, and as I surmised a year ago, they weren't going to go away.
This is a money maker for Parking Services and the school. Now you understand why I quit donating to the school. Yet some posters/apologists on here depict me as a heretic. For those that don't live in the area, it's no big deal. They're only here for football/basketball a few times a year, with a parking pass, so it's no big deal.
Retired alumni like you and I, chose to retire here for access to the school. They've taken access away. And as I've said before, if I'm not welcome, my money's not welcome. @hokiehill1117 's OP reveals the cascading effect of the Admin's decisions. Very analogous to the AthDept and their Lane Stadium operations, huh? 😁🤦‍♂️
