Yep, just shift up...


Theyll add someone in that bottom spot, but VT is realistically only going to take 4 HS kids and with 1 spot already going to Collins the leaders for thise 3 spots wouod be Rice, Clowney and Huff...I dont think VT gets Huff, however.

Van Allen Lubin would come into the picture and I would bet VT puts in work and underrated kid who checks some of the same boxes as Nickel did. Its all about fit for VT over ranking. VT isnt to the level where they can look at a bunch of highly ranked kids and select who they want. VT has to hope theyre the biggest dog or they have a prior relationship. Clearly the prior relationship didnt work out in this case when the bigger dog came to eat.

The only way VT can get to a level where they can be selective of top prospects is to be a consistent winner. The only way to be a consistent winner at VT is to follow a system and be top-notch at player evaluation and player development. Time to go back to evaluating who fits next.
