Pretty textbook restraint of trade


It would be akin to the local Association of Realtors deciding not to work with licensed non-Realtor real estate agents in their region. It's one group saying they won't work with another group which is restraint of trade.

Currently, there are no restrictions on how FBS schools can structure their schedules, if one wanted to, it could schedule 12 FCS schools if it wanted to. The school would only be 1-0 in the eyes of the bowl games however, so it wouldn't be worthwhile to play that many.

As for a judge ruling in the alliance's favor, one could, and it would be slapped down by an upper court quite quickly.
