NBC is owned by comcast and ACCN is a small piece of media rights

This is battle with 2 major communication/entertainment giants COMCAST and DISNEY.

History: Comcast fought hard to get the FOX media/movie assets but Disney out paid them. Comcast has the largest cable network and one of the largest internet provider.

Disney has the content between Movies:TV including ABC and ESPN. Also, big player with DISNEY STREAMING and ESPN STREAMING (which offers to decouple from COMCAST cable).
Media companies need content and Disney/ESPN basically own college football and basketball.

Comcast in their profit model cannot afford to continue to raise rates to support higher broadest fees and ESPN/Disney feel they dont have choice and ESPN is basically pushing all or nothing.

It goes down to the end of the contract, and who blinks..... we as viewers are just bystanders.
