The big dollars are coming from national brands...


If you can think of a single instance where a national brand has given significant money due to a deal set up by a school then Im all ears.

As a M&A professional, Im sure you can relate how frustrating it is when people who arent M&A professionals assume things about your profession that simply arent true or they provide advice that just doesnt make any sense. Same thing here. Ive worked with Senate offices to help create legislation around NIL for the better part of the last 2 years. Ive been a part of coaching staffs for a decade. What youre describing is not how cheating is done, and everything you mentioned is illegal wrt to NIL.

If a team wants to skirt the rules, they were going to do so whether NIL was in place or not. At least now the players aren't the bad guy, because they never were the bad guy. If your family had a history of generational poverty and someone offered you money...youre going to take it...and you absolutely should. And anyone here who says they wouldnt is only lying to themselves. The real bad guy are those who prey on those kids, hoping to capitalize off their success for their own financial gain...and they should absolutely be punished
