Not trying to discourage you from living where you want, but the

SC to Huntersville/Gilead drive gets even more evil this time of year into winter when you're commuting in the dark with some of the USA's most reckless drivers. My first observation about CLT in 1984 was that there appeared to be a lot of NASCAR wannabes on the roads, but now we have terrible drivers from 30 different countries out trying to kill each other every day. I love this town, but it's a dangerous enough drive when it's clear and light out. When it rains, it's gawd-awful.
