UConn is not a small school, they have plenty of living alumni…..


Don’t see why weekday commuting has anything to do with it. Storrs is not in a remote corner of the state (like Blacksburg), it’s 26 miles from Hartford. There are about 140,000 alumni living in CT alone and over 270,000 total. UConn has slightly more students than Pitt and would be 5th largest school in ACC. Uconn is also very well regarded academically. I would say that the primary reasons that football has not succeeded are lack of history (generating interest) and lack of commitment by university.
