We’re in a little village of less than 400 people in the Pyrenees.

We’re about five miles from the border with Spain and head down there a couple times a week to shop and eat. Our little village (Saint-Béat) has been continuously occupied since 75 BCE. It’s been interesting. We’ve been renovating a 221-year old house and French contractors (they call themselves “artisans”) are a challenge to work with. Perhaps it’s living in a remote area but no one here is that motivated. It is stunningly beautiful though.
