Only road for ACC to become relevant in this expansion talk is

ND being forced kicking & screaming requesting membership for football in ACC. of course, no incentive for ND to do that at this time, but if ACC gently nudged ND into seeing that rest of league members will not make their lives easy in getting into championship picture, they would have to change the way they see things
as i see it, this alliance with pac12 & big10 falls right into what they want. to play outside ACC 5 game agreement.
