Texas is a real piece of work.


I am not sure the GOR was so cut and dried for them, Texas was always looking for an advantage, even if they did not need it. That is how they play the game. If there was a benefit to extending the GOR, Texas would do so regardless of any other plans, just because it would blindside everyone else. Texas often made deals that really did nothing for them just to poke someone else in the eye or to remind everyone else that they held the ropes.

Texas was 90 minutes or so from heading to the Pac-12 at one point and that ended, more over a conversation and drink than anything else, just because it had worked everyone up and got them to jump through hoops and then at the ultimate last second, Texas says, "Just kidding!"
