It's never too soon to try to reel in the SEC. With that said, I believe

the Alliance is doing its due diligence. I may soften up the SEC some when its time to discuss playoff option. And it may give the three relatively new commissioners some foundation that will help build a good future.

I don't like 12 either and whatever the deal is, I wouldn't want more than 2 from each school.

One more thought. Between Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia and maybe a couple other stalwarts in the SEC, one of those will start to lose ground. I don't think any conference is going to have so much talent at the top.
