ESPN's leverage comes from how much exposure they can give and how much they pay. Not what they can do to you once they contract with you. What you are suggesting is organized crime-ish.

They are going to be really, really pissed if they have to share the CFP but at the end of the day, they make their money on top matchups. Their options are confined by contracts and other legal principles like the one above.
