Conferences move at the speed of a snail and call it a sprint. Is there conversation going on between conferences? There is always conversation going on at many levels, on many things, most of which have zero to do with sports. That is just the nature of the industry.

Forming a new governing body to replace the NCAA is not the same thing as is being reported in this article. If the goal is for the ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 to form a new league in college sports then welcome to a court room near and the long hard road of anti-trust court battles. On and while you are at it, since these three are targeting the SEC as part of this purported deal, they are alienating ESPN. That is not a big deal for the Big Ten but it is everything for the ACC and the Pac-12.

None of this makes any sense.

I do not need to know what is going on because I am confident that other than bitching and speculation, nothing is going on. The burden of proof is on those that assert something is happening and clues that that might be an issue come in the form of "unnamed sources".
