I think that covid is, unfortunately, here to stay for a while and
you have to weigh the benefits and risks properly.
I have been coming into the office every day, as we have warehouse, counter, delivery drivers, etc. that HAVE to work in office. A majority of our sales folks went home to work, but I came in to support our teams, plus I could properly distance in my office.
We came back 100% in July, and it have not had any "outbreaks" in the office the past 12 months - we had a small one about 14 months ago, thankfully everyone ok.
Vaccines, masks, testing, etc are all ways to help reduce the risk. Shoot, I even purchased about $10K worth of plexi glass to put up around the cubbies. You do the best you can with the right safety protocols in place and move forward. I am vax'd, and while I know there are breakthrough cases, they are 99.99% ok. We stress the importance of being vax'd and if you are not we ask you to wear a mask and properly distance. But it is time for us as a company to move forward and yes, accept some small risk. Shoot, my guess Westy is you take risk every day - supermarket, maybe the gym, driving, etc.. If the safety protocols are being followed, I think back in office - at least for our business - is worth the minor risk. And if I have someone who is "compromised", we will make exceptions.
