That is true...


I didn't even take into account bringing in Pac-12 schools. Thus, the ACC could be the "true" national conference...

ND and USC come along...the real question would be who to bring in from the Pac-12 without diluting...I would say Oregon, Washington, Stanford, and...UCLA? That leaves out WSU, OSU, Cal, Ariz, Ariz St, Utah, and Colorado. I think once you do that, you take in TCU, WVU, hope that Penn state wants to come along, and...Kansas? That gets you west coast with just 5 teams, Texas, one other central team, and another "football" team w/ WVU to get to 24 teams.

However, then the question for traveling for all the non-rev sports becomes a question...unless you regionalize that part for most regular seasons.
