Doesn't make total sense to me


If UT/OU are really going to wait until end of GOR in 2024/2025 why say anything about not renewing right now unless they felt forced by news leaks? It doesn't help them with SEC as it allows outside parties, like state governments, to try insert themselves before a deal is completed. It also makes staying in Big 12 harder until such a time they do actually move. I can't see sticking around until end of 2024/2025 now that this has been announced.

I think they are going to negotiate to get out sooner.
