I think people in general are hung up on number of schools


Each conference is looking at their bottom line and any school brought in would have to increase the per team payout. With cable hookups less of a factor, I think there are maybe 6 schools out there between ACC/Pac that would increase the per-team value. The availability of those six would determine conference size. Any talk of splitting up D1 would require a czar. The czar comes when paying players fallout necessitates it.
