That was my initial reaction. “SEC” chants have lost some luster


You needed to bring in two alpha dogs to assert dominance? Hmm. SEC fans thrive on beating OOC opponents and being the best conference. You are taking some of that satisfaction away. You are no longer the looked-down-upon south. You are the super team who rigged the game.

SEC was already crushing us in money and this expansion didn’t change that. And maybe this will cause a major change in the future landscape which will help the ACC. A school like VT will always have less money but can be good if it maximizes its ceiling. Clemson has an embarrassment of facilities and enough money to have an army of analysts. NIL is an elephant, though.
