Great points. Unfortunately, the sEcSPN, TX, and OU have been the forward
thinkers. This thing didn't just happen over night. It's been discussed, thought about, planned, for 6 months to a year DURING A PANDEMIC to boot! The ACC is hurting. I posted these numbers this morning inside a post:
In 2020, a pandemic year, the Big Ten made $768.9 million according to USA Today. That was the most revenue generated by a Power Five conference ahead of the SEC ($728.9 million), PAC-12 ($533.8 million), ACC ($496.7 million), and Big 12 ($409.2 million).
The SEC with TX and OU will probably approach $800M per year if not more. The ACC might as well go to G5.
