GOR will keep ACC together for another decade. That is why ESPN wanted a

long term contract and a long GOR. If they were going to invest in an ACC Network, they wanted to make sure the important ACC teams did not jump ship any time soon. Yes, our long term deal with ESPN is not competitive and needs to be improved, but the associated long term GOR will keep us together. ESPN, the ACCN, and GOR has seen to that. All of this talk of ACC teams leaving for other conferences is way premature. No school could afford the buy out for a GOR that extends for so long. And ESPN would be very unhappy with that as well. They might see the ACCN as inferior to SEC network. But they are invested in the ACC staying together. Destroying the ACC to add more to an already successful SEC deal is not in their best interest. The ACC may expand but will not shrink.
