They might not have to pay the whole fees. If there is enough money


at stake with media contracts then they will find a way.

And honestly, the ACC is in a unique position where it might be willing to let a couple of schools leave for cheap. The ACC desperately needs a new tv contract. So if they get a good excuse to negotiate a new one it would be far more valuable than losing a team or two. There are a lot of creative ways that this can actually help multiple conferences financially.
