With rival Duke doing well in softball, another mediocre season...


in Chapel Hill may bring a coaching change. Tech, Clemson, FSU and Duke are all legitimate Top 25 programs. GA Tech has a talented young pitcher and UVA has strung together a few top 30-type recruiting classes. Louisville and NC State have potential and have had good teams in the past. The 2022 season should be as good as the 2021 season or even better. FSU got to the national championship series and Tech got to the Super Regionals vs. a very talented UCLA. Clemson got a raw deal going to Bama and Duke hurt themselves by not allowing fans at their home games and having to host at UGA instead of Durham. I expect Notre Dame won't be as competitive in '22 since they lost so much talent. I can see 3 Top 15 ACC teams next season (maybe 5 Top 30 teams) and I expect our rivals in Hooville to be more competitive. They finally advanced past 2B and even scored a few runs on us.
