All players were given an exit interview with the coaches before leaving for the summer. They were given specific items for them to work on before returning in the fall. The coaches check in with the players throughout the summer.
I can only speak for my rising sophomore Hokie… he is basically starting one game per week on limited pitch counts. Depending on need and arm health, he is sometimes offered an opportunity to pitch an inning in between starts. By my calculation, it should equate to about 25-35 innings for the summer.
