1. WRT to the SEC, here's the rub. They can only have one team with a bye. So if an SEC runner up comes through the bracket to meet the SEC champ in the final, then so be it. At least teams from the other regions will have multiple chances to knock them off. And college football is already regionalized. Under the current format, if the SEC gets 2 bids, that's half the tournament. Under the new format, if they get FOUR bids, that is still only one-third of the field, and only one of there teams gets a bye.

2. I totally agree about the about face of the school presidents (although I don't think this is a done deal yet). If they are going to remove their previous restrictions, then I think we could all come up with a better system than this current 12-team deal.
