Megan Burker before the season was over and had a list of candidates. Burker was moved to an administration position in the athletics department. Sung didn't receive an extension and he only had one year remaining on his contract. Sung says that he resigned because he wanted to try something new and maybe one day he'd come back to coaching lacrosse. He may be telling the truth but others say he left because of no contract extension and it wouldn't look good on his resume to be fired if things in 2022 didn't improve. There's probably some truth in the middle.
