I also have a theory that....


they were looking for ways to ice KR, eg, the long conference at the mound, then changing pitchers, trying to get her to tighten up physically. And it worked, give or take what you think about two of those pitches KR threw an uncharacteristic 4 balls in a row, next inning after a quick return to the mound she was back in form.

Sure, they were probably getting a quick look a F but think they were trying to get KR off her rhythm.
