Brown and Fagan have gotten called out for hitting the ball when outside the batter's box. Brown seems to be all over the place and maybe should have gotten that call even more. The UCLA coach may have been trying to plant some seeds in the second base umpires head to make the call. But for some reason the UCLA field does not hold the batter's box markings. The markings were gone by the third inning. After the first inning, I don't think that Brown can be called out for stepping over the line since the lines are gone. Maybe they need to refresh the lines halfway through the game. If I was coach D, I would be telling the girls to drag their feet over the lines when they batted and make the batters box disappear.
