I kinda disagree with that, she cleaned up nicely last two innings

not perfect but didn't get into any jams.

I'm still of the conspiracy theory that the UCLA coach was effin' around in the 4th inning stalling for time, talks at the mound changing pitchers etc. to get KR to tighten up: and it worked to some degree, walking the first runner in the fifth on four straight balls - UCLA's first baserunner - and that got compounded by an error, but once warmed back up and a quick return to the mound in the 6th she got steady again and cut down the top of the lineup and made quick work in the 7th.

I suppose you always want to get hits and runs but with a sizeable lead and KR on the pitching mound the silver lining is you keep KR in rhythm ie getting outs is the path to winning the game.

She had a low pitch count too ~ 90 so hoping she's relatively fresh tonight.

And, of course, we basically don't have a choice.
