I think he’s gone and should be gone. There wasn’t any improvement or any emotion from him or the team once we started tanking. This team’s fundamentals and approach to the game are horrible. I don’t think Szefc can lead them out of it and I don’t think we have enough ACC level talent on this team.

I’m sure some will disagree with this, but I am all in favor of hiring a young gun up-and-comer assistant (preferably a hitting coach) from the SEC or a young winning coach from non-P5 who can bring some energy in here and hopefully land a few stud recruits. But really focus on development of all guys, studs or not. I just don’t think Szefc has it in him.

Baseball is cheap in terms of “buying” championships. No $10 million buyouts here. Great risk/reward. Look at what we are getting out of softball. Talk about an amazing return on investment. Go find the Pete D’Amour of baseball. And give D’Amour a raise. Be proactive, get ahead of South Carolina or someone else poaching him.
