But count me as skeptical. Fans shouldn’t keep saying he needs more time to recruit better talent. Putting aside his first season when the team only had guys he inherited, a majority of the players each of the subsequent 3 seasons (2019-21) have been his recruits.

After 2018 he dumped a bunch of guys and each of the next 3 years he’s brought in 15-20 new freshmen and Jucos.

Other than Gerard (who had been his recruit to Maryland before following Szefc to VT) when has he recruited a true stud freshman pitcher? Or when in a guy’s Soph or Redshirt freshman year has Szefc or Fecteau developed a great starter or even reliever?

Simo is a stud but he’s a Juco transfer who was an easy get for VT cause he’s from Winchester, & already had friends on VT from travel ball & St Johns River.

If the downward spiral continues against ND it seems time to move on with new leadership
