For the non-track folks, the steeple is 3,000 meters (two miles is 3218 meters), but with 28 barriers to hurdle including seven with a water pit. A general rule of thumb is that your 3k steeple time should be roughly equal to your two mile time. Or for Fitz and Ben that's basically back-to-back sub 4:40 miles while hurdling 28 barriers.
