On paper Tech has what should be two guaranteed future starters. Flynn, while not the most physically gifter 125lber, makes up for it with grit and toughness and a mean streak that was on display during his S32 title run. I think he gets into the lineup after a redshirt year and is an immediate and perennial podium threat. There is a minor concern here that he gets too big, though. Latona is most certainly going 133 in 2022-23.

Kibe won a state title as a Sophomore at 160 in PA’s big school division which is no small feat. He placed 4th and 2nd the following two years. My report on him is that he has about as much pure talent as anyone in the class but I would like to see a little more grit. He’s lost several matches where it’s close late (including state finals this year and at Ultimate Duals this spring) and he doesn’t go take it. Get meaner, young Trey!

The good news is, he’ll have the luxury (?) of getting beat up by the older guys in the room for a year. I think we’ll see Kibe redshirt for 2021-22 and build up to 184 where he’ll take the over when Hunter Bolen graduates. "
