Colonial pipeline - idiots and now lying (?) about ~1M gal spill.

Idiots because you never, ever connect operations control software" to anything that connects to the outside/internet. Want to work from home? Fine, on tasks not related to opetations.

Continued idiocy - no backups? Wtf

Lying - i read theres been an ongoing leak at 3-5kgal/day somewhere in NC. Total leak/spill of 1.1M gallons of product. Ummm, ever hear of flow meters on inlet and outlet? How the heck did that go on for months on end? I get a sense there is BS in this story somewhere.

I get it, things break and humans arent infallable. Sorry, no pass on this one colonial.

Oh, and where are the inspectors/regulators? Making similar stjpid decisions that we saw in Texas in the winter.

There never just one cockroach, just saying. Wonder what else is vulnerable due to stupidity? Airplane control? Airplanes? Nuke plants? Water treatment? Drawbridges? Elevators? Just wondering.
